If you have been looking forward to buying the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 in the UK ever since CES 2014, we have some crucial information for you. We now know the confirmed Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 UK release date, as well as a final price that you’ll have to pay.
Considering that this is the first 12.2-inch tablet that Samsung has launched, you shouldn’t be surprised to hear that it is going to be cheap. In fact, the confirmed price may even shock you a little when we tell you that it’s going to cost £649 to buy.
That is a lot of money for a new tablet, regardless of the display size and hardware specs it possesses. Just to give you an idea of the costs involved, Samsung are asking you for £10 more than the 128GB iPad Air, which costs £639 – the 16GB model seems like a bargain at £399 in this case.
While we love the new 12.2-inch display on the Galaxy Note Pro, is it a big enough reason to justify such a high price? In reality, the hardware specs are superior to the iPad Air too, but again is this good enough reason for UK consumers to pay almost £200 more – using the £479 32GB iPad Air price as reference?
We have a feeling that many of you will come back to us and say that it is higher than you expected. We all love new pieces of technology and there’s no doubt that the 12.2-inch Note Pro from Samsung is a thing of beauty.
Is it a thing of beauty that you would be willing to pay £649 for though? Give us your reaction to the price below – you can pre-order here and shipping starts on February 4.
