KIA K900 cost of perception versus reality

By Peter Chubb - Jan 29, 2014

Ever since The Matrix trilogy came to an end fans of the movie have been waiting for something new from the franchise, but who would have thought it would have come from KIA and the imaginative team of advertisers to help promote the new K900 luxury Sedan – yes you heard right, luxury from KIA.

We’ve know for a while that the KIA K900 will feature Morpheus, played by Laurence Fishburne for a special commercial during the 2014 Super Bowl, and what a strange one it is. The add will run for 60 seconds during the game, although we have the full version below.

The message that this KIA K900 sedan commercial tries to put across is the cost of perception versus reality, which simply put, we have been brainwashed into thinking that you have to pay an exaggerated price to own a luxury sedan, when in fact this is not the case.

We don’t want to give too much away because we would rather you watch the video ad for yourself, but we like the start of the video where you are given a choice to take the blue key or the red key.

Overall the commercial is one of the best we have seen, but things start going wrong about 45 seconds in, then again when you are in The Matrix nothing is what it seems.

What were your thoughts on the all-new KIA K900 commercial, and do you think it spoils things by showing these Super Bowl commercials before the big event?
