Galaxy S5 release date conflict with Tizen

Prepare to get a little excited now as it looks like we have just got one step closer to the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S5 release date. There are rumors suggesting that Samsung will unveil the device at MWC 2014, but one insider believes that the device will launch before that event begins.

Firstly, we can tell you that the new rumored release date for the Galaxy S5 is February 23rd. This new information is according to Eldar Murtazin, a respected industry insider who has been proved to be accurate on previous product releases.

He has said that the Galaxy S5 will be unveiled at a pre-MWC 2014 event and that specifically the event will kick off at 6PM in Barcelona.

As exciting as that sounds however, there are also new conflicting rumors which essentially rule out that possibility from happening. Information coming out of Korea backs up the fact that an event will be taking place on February 23, but that it will be for the announcement of the Samsung Tizen – not the Galaxy S5.

If the latter details are proved to be correct, then we may have to wait until March at the very least to finally see Samsung make the Galaxy S5 official.

Either way though, we expect to see a device that is going to be more powerful than anything Samsung has announced so far and certainly even better than the popular Galaxy S4.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S5 is still going to retain a 5-inch display, but bump up resolution to 2K quality offering a stunning 560ppi. We could also see a device that is running on an unprecedented 4GB RAM along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor – but we’ll believe that when we see it.

Are you starting to get impatient with the Galaxy S5 release, especially more so now that we hear that the Tizen may come first before the S5?
