FIFA 14 has once again remained the best selling game in the UK, dominating at the summit of the top 10 chart. This is now the 6th consecutive week that EA’s football title has held top spot, having the honor of holding this position for the whole of 2014.
Since last week the chart has been shaken up somewhat with some risers, fallers and a new entry. Call of Duty: Ghosts remains in second position as it has done since being knocked off the top of the charts by FIFA 14 before Christmas. Globally COD would be in a much stronger position than FIFA, but in the UK the game is huge due to the popularity of football and the Barclays Premier League in particular.
Battlefield 4 is still occupying 3rd place as it has done for a majority of the past months, there has been no real change in the top 3 since before the holiday season in the UK. Lego Marvel Super Heroes has risen up to 4th this week, rising one place from last week and swapping positions with Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag which slips a place down to 5th.
The Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft rises again up to 6th, last week it was 8th and 9th the week before which shows good progress from Microsoft’s game. Killzone: Shadow Fall falls a place down to 7th this week, despite a new update coming to add more clan content. Last week’s surprising big faller was GTA V which plummeted from 5th to 9th in the space of 7 days, this week it is 8th.
Another one of EA’s games, Need for Speed Rivals keeps its place in the chart, dropping from 7th to 9th, completing the top 10 list this week is Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z. We suspect that FIFA 14 will continue reigning supreme until the next big console launch, this is likely to be Titanfall which is looking strong along with Destiny in the pre-order charts too.
