Flappy Bird app on Android is addictive

By Updated on

We’ve seen some rather interesting apps on Android over the past month or so, although we do seem to miss out on a load of them. It’s for this very reason why we wanted to talk about the Flappy Bird app on Android because we have been hearing from players that it is very addictive and what’s more, it recently received an upgrade.

The most recent update for Flappy Bird was version 1.2, which went live yesterday, January 25 on the Google Play Store. This is yet another game that appeared on iOS first before being ported over to Android, and while it might not be getting the attention of Plants vs. Zombie 2 and Temple Run 2 had, it’s still a game that needs to be played if you feel you have the ability.

Even before you go online and have a look at Flappy Bird we need to inform you that this is an 8-bit game, so the graphics are not going to knock you back, but then this app is all about the addiction – just as Minecraft in that respect.

The idea behind Flappy Bird is to navigate a bird around various pipe obstacles, which are sparse at first and become denser as you progress through the levels.

It might not sound much, but you know simple games like this seems to be far more addictive than complicated ones, and some of the user reviews seem to agree. You can see those reviews by heading to the Google Play Store.

New Flappy Bird app features – Update version 1.2 now comes with several new enhancements, such as improved performance, Medal blink and a few bug fixes.

However, we are still hearing that a few players have experienced crashing, although this does seem to be isolated and could be more of a hardware issue.

We have already heard how people have been sharing their Flappy Bird high scores with each other, so we would like you to share your high scores with us.
