It has been a while since we last spoke about The Witcher 3 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. A lot of fans are eager to find out how The Witcher 3 will play in relation to PS4 Vs PC, but this week we’re pleased to bring you some early information on this aspect.
The Witcher 3 is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2014. The Witcher 2 was an amazing success and the excitement to see the game on PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC, is something to really praise the developers over at CD Projekt Red.
While everyone waits to see new The Witcher 3 gameplay, the developers of the game have given an excellent interview with MCVIndia. More importantly, we hear a few details on how the three platforms will fair – with most PC gamers obviously interested to find out if their version will be superior compared to PS4 and Xbox One.
The good news for the neutral, is that CD Projekt Red have confirmed that there will be not ‘huge’ differences between next-gen and PC. The reason for this has been explained by Marcin Iwinski below:
“For PC, which in theory is infinitely scalable, you’ll be able to get more, but you have to invest. On the consoles, the difference will not be huge because they’re actually brand new PCs. So I think gamers on each platform will get an extremely good experience and they should be very satisfied with the quality.”
There’s some very interesting comments to pick out from that quote above. Firstly, we see further evidence that mainstream developers now view the PS4 and Xbox One as ‘new PC machines’, when that wouldn’t even be possible when talking about the PS3 and Xbox 360.
While the differences may not be huge, PC gamers should still be refreshed to hear that they have the opportunity to still have the definitive version of The Witcher 3 – as long as they have the hardware to do it.
Having seen the graphics quality in the trailer though, we have a feeling that PC owners will be licking their lips on the prospect of improving the game further when running on ultra settings.
