And so the 2014 car recalls begin to pile up once again, as they are starting to come in thick and fast. The latest company to announce a recall is Ford, who has to issue a recall notice for two of its models, the Explorer and E-Series van.
Ford has only just issued a recall on its Edge crossover, so these latest recalls are not great news for the company. However, this latest one does not affect as many models.
There are just 395 Ford Explorer’s to recall, with the 2011 and 2012 models being affected. The reason for the recall is due to an issue with the steering system, where a glitch in the software could cause it to lock the steering, which is a huge crash risk.
More details on this particular recall can be found here.
As for the Ford E-Series Van recall, this affects 4,532 units, the list of models are the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 built between May 12 and May 26 2011. The problem is due to problematic windshields, as they could bubble when temperatures get too hot.
