Are you starting to get excited about the iPhone 6 yet? We all know that it will be coming later on in the year, but at the moment Apple are more than happy to maintain their evasiveness stance. The iPhone 5S has just launched in China, but the big talking point was about CEO Tim Cook’s reluctance to talk about future plans.
This isn’t any surprise though, as most of you are well aware. Apple are famous for staying silent on any future product plans, but almost inevitably any new iPhone or iPad is the subject of intense rumors prior to launch that it is now seemingly impossible for Apple to keep any secrets from slipping out.
The iPhone 6 is coming and the word is, is that it will be coming with a display screen that may shock consumers. This could be between 5.5-6-inches, meaning that it is stepping up further from the 4-inch iPhone 5S.
Resolution could also be upgraded with a display that is close to 4K, a resolution that is likely to be repeated when Apple launches the rumored iPad ‘Pro’ tablet towards the end of the year. This week though, just have a look at what Tim Cook said in China during the iPhone 5S, as captured by Bloomberg:
“We never talk about future things,” We have great things we are working on but we want to keep them secret. That way you will be so much happier when you see it.”
If that doesn’t make you a little bit excited about the future, we don’t know what will. Can you really imagine having an iPhone that is close to 6-inches in your palm though? Samsung obviously offers this larger size with their Note family, so consumers have been demanding that Apple at least offer the larger size option – on top of maintaining the 4-inch, which we personally think is ideal.
Tim Cook may have taken the evasive way out in China recently, but we all know it is only a matter of time before we start to see components leaking out left right and centre.
Are you ready to drop your money on a 6-inch iPhone or not?
