One of the most exciting announcements at CES 2014 which you may have missed, is the unveiling of Panasonic’s 4K tablet. Thanks to some new information disclosed, we can now bring you Panasonic 4K tablet release date information, as well as the price that you are going to have to pay for this luxurious item.
No longer can Apple rule the highest resolution in a tablet debate, as it looks like Panasonic will now be able to earn this award. Having said that, this is a 20-inch behemoth that we are looking at that isn’t going to be anywhere near as portable as the iPad range.
Still though, Panasonic has a world’s first on their hands and it definitely looks unbelievable in the flesh. The Panasonic 4K tablet is going to be available this month, but only to those who are willing to pay $5999 for one – that’s the basic version only too.
For that kind of money though, you can get to be the proud owner of a tablet featuring the highest tablet resolution seen to date – a 20-inch 3840 x 2560 LCD display, complete with LED backlighting on top as well.
Other specs are fantastic too, the $5999 model will get you an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M graphics and a 256GB SSD. Basically put, this is a 20-inch PC in your hands (just about). It also comes with Windows 8.1 Pro – ensuring that you can run full PC apps on this tablet without any compatibility issues.
Take a look at the included clip to see this tablet on show during CES 2014. For further information, you can also visit Panasonic’s website here for the full specs rundown.
What is your reaction to the price of this – $5999 is a scary figure, do you agree?
