For owners of the Dell Venue 7 and 8 tablets, you may be pleased to know that the Android 4.3 update is on the way. The software version dubbed Jelly Bean is being delivered OTA and should be available very soon on both devices, if not already.
Dell themselves commenced the roll out of Android 4.3 in 2013 but in slow phases, the pace has finally been picked up now and the update should be with the majority of owners. You can check to see if 4.3 is available for your device by looking in the system update menu in the software settings of your Venue.
The jump from version 4.2 to 4.3 is by no means an overhaul, more of a tweaking update. Notable step ups from previous version include an improvement to touch response and an upgrade to camera focus and compression. The OS on the Venue 7 and 8 will not change dramatically as Dell only made minor adjustments, whilst Google made a few changes as we mentioned above.
Unfortunately a small amount of owners have reportedly suffered problems with their Venue 7 since updating to version 4.3. If you have the same problem then you can share your issues with others on the Dell Forums and hopefully get some answers about a quick fix.
Perhaps you want to ignore the update if you are happy with version 4.2, or want to wait for Android 4.4 Kit-Kat?
Have you received update 4.3 on your Venue tablet? Let us know how the update went for you and if you have had any problems since.
