Beats Music are set to be a new big player in the online subscription market and will offer a streaming service which delivers 20 million songs. The Beats by Dr Dre. brand has been made famous by its large range of luxury headphones and speakers, this new service should shake things up a bit.
Arriving on January 21st, Beats Music is already giving would be subscribers the chance to claim their name before the service goes live. If you live in the US and have an attachment to a certain username then reserve it now by visiting their site. The service is coming to web browsers, iOS, Android and Sonos. Unfortunately for Europe Beats Music will launch exclusively in the US first, although there are plans to expand quickly. Beats Music has said “We’re launching in your area soon, keep an eye out for announcements“. The service will be made available on a free 7 day trial, costing $9.99 after that if you choose to subscribe.
Alternatively you can buy the family bundle which boosts you up to a 90 day free trial and subsequently will cost $14.99 each month. The extra perk of this deal is unlimited usage through one single account which can be accessed by 5 different people across 10 devices.
Not only do you get access to a huge music library you can listen to custom playlists which use location services to remember your preferences. For example you may listen to certain tracks in places such as the car or the gym, Beats Music will recognize this and remember the playlists for you.
