Whispers are starting to emerge on a new Nexus 10 2 release date announcement at CES 2014 in January, but it appears that Samsung may be planning to have the last laugh again. We’ve hearing further rumors that Samsung has a new tablet in the works, one that could come with a whopping 10.5-inch display screen to take the limelight away from Google’s delayed device.
It was only earlier this week when we told you of Samsung’s other plans to release the Galaxy Tab 4 in 2014 as well. As far as we’re aware though, this 10.5-inch tablet could be a ‘premium’ version of the Galaxy Tab 4 range and one that could go specifically head-to-head with Google’s Nexus 10 2, when we finally see the device on Google’s Play Store.
According to information coming out of Korea, this 10.5-inch display could be AMOLED based and could be one of the largest display tablets to buy in 2014. Full specs are not known at the moment, but we should obviously expect to see 2 or 3GB of RAM, a quad-core or octa-core Exynos processor and Android 4.4 Kitkat at the very least.
10.5-inches sounds like a huge size, but don’t forget that there’s also whispers suggesting that Apple will shake up their iPad range in a big way with a possible ‘iPad Pro’ in 2014 that will have a 12.9-inch screen – if you can believe that.
As we look forward to CES 2014 in January, let us know what you are expecting to see from Samsung at the event. Would you prefer their 10.5-inch tablet over the missing Google Nexus 10 2?
