Heads-up all Pokemon X and Y players now, as if you have taken a break from the game, you’ll need to know that a new update is available. Game Freak has launched the Pokemon X and Y 1.2 update, making it a mandatory install which all players need before playing the game online again.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any major new features with the Pokemon X and Y 1.2 patch, but it does make your game ready for the upcoming launch of Pokemon Bank on December 27.
As a reminder, Pokemon Bank is an application for your 3DS which will allow you to store up to 3,000 Pokémon in Nintendo’s cloud. Unfortunately, this is going to be a paid service of £4.49 or $4.99 per year, but if you subscribe as soon as it hits you’ll be able to enjoy a months use of Pokemon Bank absolutely free.
Going back to the mandatory update though, here are the official 1.2 patch notes from Nintendo’s website:
- Fixes the issue where moves which Pokémon learn while evolving with Wonder Trade are not appearing.
- Fixes the issue where some users can’t view the promotion video tagline in the Lumiose City event.
- Minor changes to the Internet connection method.
So there we have it. The Wonder Trade fix when evolving Pokemon should make a lot of you very happy. Let us know if you have spotted anything different on the 1.2 update after installing that hasn’t been mentioned in the patch notes.
Will you be paying for Pokemon Bank or not?
