By Updated on

At the start of the month, we gave you a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Vs iPad Air review which gave a brief analysis of both devices, before we asked you which one you prefer out of the two.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 actually was the undisputed winner on that occasion, but now we take another look at these two juggernaut devices, but with gaming performance specifically in mind.

As you can see from the visual below, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition has some dazzling specs under the hood. These include an octa-core 1.9 GHz Exynos processor with a whopping 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics setup.

The iPad Air in comparison cannot match these specs it has to be said. Apple has fitted a dual-core based A7 processor chip inside the device, combined with 1GB of RAM and a rumored PowerVR G6430 GPU system. Right away Apple’s iPad Air is at a hardware disadvantage compared to the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, but how does this translate into gaming?

Hey what about the missing information from both sides of the screen on the iPad? It’s aspect ratio limits the iPad to a “poor cousin” of the Samsung Tablet, as it is not displaying in FULL screen resolution of the test media. In a game, it is very important to see what is coming from left or right? What are the relative pixel screen densities & sizes of these two products?
