Sony PS4 update version 1.52 live, small fixes

By Updated on

We were hearing multiple reports on Monday that many PS4 users were experiencing problems with the PlayStation Network. We are pleased to inform you that Sony has released update version 1.52 which is now live and will make small fixes to the system.

Players of games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Killzone: Shadowfall were locked out of the online system. Frustration grew as a majority were greeted with an error message informing them that a PS Plus subscription was required to play online, despite them already having one.

Sony moved quickly to solve the issue by having their engineers undertake 8 hours of maintenance; this software update will improve your systems software stability and should clear up any other unwanted problems. The update was announced earlier today via the official PlayStation Twitter account, stay tuned for more developments.

For those of you who have the auto download feature turned on, the update should be completed on your console. We advise those who do not to manually upgrade their software before using their PS4 again.
