GTA V Heists delayed until 2014

By Updated on

We have some bad news to bring you now, regarding the highly anticipated GTA V Heists release date. Rockstar had initially said that Heists was coming soon shortly after the game’s release in September. However, we can now confirm that actually Heists is planned for 2014 as we feared, with Rockstar choosing to give the next details on Heists in the new year.

Although some of you didn’t want to believe this, we told you that a 2014 release for Heists would be on the cards after Rockstar’s continued silence on the matter. Writing was on the cards after weeks of no information, but at least Rockstar has now decided to come clean on this.

A statement on their website is as follows:

“GTA Online Heists. We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year.”

Give us your reaction to the bombshell. Did you know this would happen? At least the positive thing about all of this, is that we’re basically weeks away from 2014 landing. If Rockstar can get Heists out in January, then we’re guessing all is forgiven and GTA V online players will be delighted with the outcome.

The worst thing to happen now though is that Rockstar teases a 2014 release, but fails to give a release date and fans end up still waiting for Heists all over again in a few month’s time.

Hopefully it won’t come to that though. Let us know how you see this piece of news – can you accept this delay from Rockstar or not?

They are going to have a hard time keeping players now. With the release of the Xbox One and PS4 along with the now mundane and boring gta online many players will look elsewhere for their gaming entertainment.

I agree, I never go on GTA anymore, it just got boring. The multiplayer games are horrible, and the matchmaking is extremely slow… Seems like Rockstar doesn’t care, as before fixing all the crashing they make all the in-game items cost more…

This is terrible news. There is nothing left to do in the game. As a legit player of GTA online i watch as all the cheaters have everything they want from glitching, and us true players grind the same boring missions over and over again, while rockstar decreases the amount of in game RP and Cash you get for doing legitimate tasks. This game could have been a masterpiece, but you destroyed it. And i can see why rockstar doesnt care to finish this part of the game soon. Because nobody is going to be around to play it when the time comes. And they have the nerve to try to sell in game cash for real money. Sorry, but nobody is going to pay you when the next guy can just resell a car a few times and get the same amount of cash.

you just regurgitate the same story every day!

I’m already sick of the online won’t be waiting another month just for heists to come out fur loss R* u take way to long to fix a game

  • Jeff S

The only reason they haven’t released heists and bring down the monetary rewards for missions is to try and pressure us into microtransactions…its all about money…ud think they’d be happy making a billion within the first three days the game was out

  • Fred

2014 is only a few weeks away. Quit trying to stir up trouble.

  • Rick

Sad decision considering they were advertised to come out originally at launch!

Fred your right 2014 is only a few weeks away but this game came out in September and they ha an idea of how many games they would sell. There is no excuse for this delay as many people have even reviewed and seen the heists played by rockstar staff in the moths leading to the games release.

Over 1 billion dollars made by rockstar they spent about 265 million on development which leaves them 735 million dollars to make sure the people who gave them all that money stay happy, and they have failed.

Gta 5 online had the potential to be a revolutionary game but do to poor decisions by rockstar ( especially the RP and cash cutbacks) have made this a game a will look back on and wonder what it could have been.

    On to xbox one
