If you take your PC gaming seriously and are willing to pay a lot of money in order to have the very best, you are going to love this. MSI has just released their MSI GT60 2OD-261US 3K laptop, the first specialist gaming laptop to be able to offer 3K resolution quality.

MSI are known for producing gaming laptops with amazing specs, but it’s also no secret that these laptops come at a premium price. The GT60 2OD-261US is available to buy right now, but at a price that will set you back $2,199 for the luxury.

For this though you get some truly dazzling specs. These include a 3K 15.6-inch WQHD+ 3K Display, 16:9 ratio and a whopping 2880 x 1620 resolution. There’s an Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor and 16GB of RAM running the show, while graphics are provided by a state of the art NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M GPU.

Storage will be a complete non issue as well, with a mouth-watering combination of 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD. Simply put, you are not going to have any problems whatsoever running the latest PC games on Ultra settings – but then again, you would expect this for a $2000 laptop.

The SteelSeries endorsed backlit keyboard looks fabulous, while the clever Cooler Boost 2 system will ensure that your laptop doesn’t get too hot in the heat of the battle.

For those interested in splashing the cash, we have some great videos for you to watch. The first is a MSI GT60 2OD review, which reviews MSI’s previous model without a 3K display, but still has the same hardware. We’ve also added a further video which shows how Battlefield 3 runs on this laptop with Ultra settings – without breaking sweat it has to be said.

What are your thoughts on the specs offered with the new MSI GT60 2OD-261US? Are you willing to pay $2200 for this or is it simply too much at the moment?
