Digital2 D2-713G_GN 7-inch tablet with Google Play

As we approach the climax to the busy shopping period, we just have one last-minute tablet for you to take a look at which you may be interested in picking up for a cheap price. The Digital2 D2-713G_GN 7-inch tablet is another budget special and it could rival the RCA 7-inch tablet that has proven to be a big hit this month.

You are probably thinking that you have never heard of Digital2 before, so why would take the risk on an unknown company? There’s a good element of truth to this, but then it may well be worth you taking the plunge if you can pick one of these up for less than $100 at retailers.

The all-important Digital2 D2-713G_GN 7-inch tablet specs include a 7-inch display, 1Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM and just 4GB of internal memory. Fortunately you can expand the memory with SD card according some listings online.

We’re also pleased to see that the Digital2 D2-713G_GN is the most recent version of Digital2′s 7-inch tablet range and this model comes with access to the Google Play Store – since older models did not. The specs are not great though as you can see, so we can’t recommend this to you if you are planning to buy a new tablet for gaming purposes – you’ll want something like the Nexus 7 2013 for that.

Let us know if you have taken a liking to this Digital2 7-inch tablet. You’ll find some Digital2 D2-713G_GN reviews for this model over at Amazon here – there’s actually some very positive feedback from those that have one.

We still don’t think this RCA tablet can be beaten though – let us know your thoughts below.

While the product may work with the apps and the features, the overall design of the product is doomed to failure due to a poor battery design. It is good for a year at the most, the battery is not serviceable and they do not want you to open the module for service. Their words exactly: “Thank you for contacting Digital2. We are sorry to hear this. We do not actually sell replacement batteries and they actually cannot be replaced within the tablet.” Unfortunately, they designed a product to fail in the long run.
