Since Apple made touchscreen smartphones and tablets as big as they are today, since then we have been hoping for a touchscreen Mac device, but it doesn’t seem like this is a feature we will see anytime soon on MacBook Pro, Air or even an iMac. If you want a touchscreen laptop, then you will have to look at Windows computers.
Since the release of Windows 8, brands such as HP, ASUS and Samsung have embraced touchscreen laptops far more than in the past, and it doesn’t have to be a high-end model either. The Asus 11.6 X200CA-HCL1104G touchscreen laptop is a fine example of this.
How cool would it be to be able to surf the Internet and when you see something of interest, then instead of using the trakpad you could use the touchscreen instead. Some of you will see this as a novelty on a laptop, while others will fully embrace it, where do you stand?
The Asus 11.6 X200CA-HCL1104G specs are not overly impressive, but then for a price of $250 we don’t expect it to be either. Some of the specs of importance are a 1.5GHz Intel Celeron 1007U processor, 4GB of RAM, 11.6-inch HD touchscreen, 320GB hard drive, UMA graphics, so no gaming.
Other features include 1.0MP webcam for video chat, 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports, Microsoft Windows 8, and Power2Go software.
There’s not much else we can say about this laptop, but if you would like to offer our readers a review of the Asus 11.6 X200CA-HCL1104G, then by all means add one in the comments section below.
