We have a quick heads-up for those that have been experiencing Battlefield 4 problems on the PS4 version. DICE has just sent out another update, available the next time you boot up the game. We’re pleased to report that this is another bug fixing update on PS4 too, meaning that your experience should be a lot smoother the next time you head online for a session.
It appears that stability is the key ingredient of the day, as most Battlefield 4 gamers will agree that crashing and freezing issues remain the biggest concern – across all platforms. Fortunately though, we’re pleased to see DICE is working around the clock to improve the game.
Here’s the most recent Battlefield 4 patch notes as detailed by Battlelog:
-Fixed common crashes that could occur when changing weapons or maps
-Reduced the probability of a corrupted save file in the single player campaign
-Fixed a crash occurring when resuming the single player campaign
-Fixed a bug where accessing PlayStation Plus subscription resulted in a connection error
-Improved performance when shooting at destroyed Levolution objects
As you can see, that first fix should be the most pleasing one, as it should eliminate the frustrating moments where your game crashes whilst changing map. When it happens, it’s terrible – so let’s see if the situation is improved.
