Back in 2006 Rockstar had released a game titled Bully on the PS2 and was a hit with gamers, but since then a sequel has eluded us for reasons unknown. It is not like Rockstar would be afraid to bring a new version of the game out with a controversial subject.
Well, we might have some news because a Bully sequel could be heading to the PS4 and the Xbox One if a recent trademark registration is anything to go by.
On November 20, 2103 a trademark was registered for Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit by Take Two Interactive. We could be reading too much into this, but it certainly makes you wonder.
Surely there has to be some meat to this news because why else would Take Two do such a thing? We do hope that an announcement will be made soon, who knows, we could hear something at VGX that’s if the publisher will be there.
The original Bully had very positive reviews and there has already been an upbeat reaction from fans of that first game. Most of them are saying how much they hope a sequel will be released, although some gamers have stressed they would rather Rockstar work on a Red Dead Redemption sequel.
Having said that, we have to wonder what Rockstar plans to do with GTA V for the PS4 and Xbox One because it is clear there is a need, but the developers seems to be dragging its heals. Not having Grand Theft Auto 5 on next-gen consoles has put gamers off moving away from the PS3 and Xbox 360 for the moment, which we elaborated on last week.
You can see the trademark regersration here, but you will need to enter 012327532 in the Trade mark No and hit search at the bottom.
Which would you rather Rockstar work on first, GTA V for the PS4 and Xbox One, a Red Dead Redemption sequel or a Bully sequel?
