By Updated on

If you have just picked up a shiny new PS4 console and are looking for a brand new HDTV to play on it, we have one model for you to consider. Samsung TVs are always popular with the gaming community and we have some details on one model that may be going for a very cheap price this month – the Samsung UN40F5500AFXZA LED HDTV.

It is no good buying a PS4 console with 1080p capabilities, but having no 1080p LED HDTV to play it on. With this in mind, we have a feeling that many consumers will be hunting for TVs to buy – specifically Samsung models after good history in the past.

The Samsung UN40F5500AFXZA HDTV is a TV that features some very promising specs for a retail price of over $600. These include support for full 1080p HD solution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, 3 HDMI ports for plenty of connectivity options and Smart TV functions offering access to apps such as Netflix, Facebook and Twitter.

Now, we point you in the direction of one Samsung UN40F5500AFXZA HDTV review from one user has specifically bought this television to use with his new PS4 purchase. You’ll be pleased to hear that he has given it a five star review above, although also confirming that only one of the three HDMI ports works with the PS4.

He also mentions some issues with the native YouTube app built into the TV, but other than that is very happy with his purchase. He also confirms that he can control the TV using his Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone, thanks to an IR extender feature on the TV which allows him to hide any cables that are getting in the way.

If you are looking for a PS4 gaming television, let us know if you are also considering picking up a Samsung LED TV, or opting for something else.
