Having already reported on how certain websites are focusing on the negative reviews of the PS4, and the failures that account to just 1 percent of these consoles, Sony has now started to send out the PS4 Coffins. These are the small boxes that you will need in order to send your faulty PlayStation 4 console back to Sony.
The one question that those of you affected by these failures will want to know is “How long will it be before my PS4 is returned to me?” The answer for the PS4 repair and return turnaround is 10 to 14 days, which means you will still have your next-gen console back way before Christmas.
The boxes that Sony send out for you to send you PS4 back in also comes with all the details you need in how to return your faulty console, which has affected around 10,000 consoles.
What we find more amazing about these coffins is how they offer far better protection for your PS4 than the boxes they come in when you purchase one. However, you have to remember the costs that would be involved in offering that kind of protection for the huge number of consoles.
You can see images of the PS4 coffin here, and we are sure there will be some people out there wondering why Sony was already geared up for these launch failures.
That would be a wrong way to look at it though because most companies know that a small percentage of their products will have issues, and so they have to be prepared for when this happens, especially when you are dealing with a product that will sell in tens of millions.
