We recently told you that Google had started to offer the brand new update to Android 4.4 Kitkat, on selected Android devices. The Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are two tablets that are on the list and now we have an excellent tutorial showing Nexus 10 users how to install their Android 4.4 Kitkat update manually.
As most of you are aware, the Android 4.4 Kitkat update rollout is happening in stages, meaning some users will be able to get the update – others won’t. While this is obviously frustrating, it’s the way the system has always been from Google.

Fortunately though, there is a way to fast track your update to Kitkat if you don’t want to wait around. We’ve found an excellent video below which shows you exactly how to perform the steps on your tablet and manually update yourself to upgrade your tablet to Android 4.4 Kitkat instantly.
It works great and is well worth a try – it’s exactly the same update as what you would normally get from Google during an OTA notification. You’ll want to view the description of the video as well here, as that is where you’ll find the relevant download links to help you along the way.
It may seem complicated at first, but just follow the steps in the video carefully and you should be running Android 4.4 Kitkat in no time. Let us know if you have any problems during the installation process.
