There is no denying that one of the most popular 7-inch tablets is the Nexus 7, but what about those who feel as though it is just an inch too small and $100 or so too expensive? There are tablets out there that fit that criteria and the Zeki TBDG874B 8″ Android tablet would be one of them.
Let’s get one thing straight from the get go, this is not going to compete with the 2013 Nexus 7 in terms of specs, or the iPad mini, which is roughly the same screen size.
However, Zeki is not like some of the other tablet makers and so does not claim that its tablet is a great alternative to these to tablets. However, if you have a limited budget and do not mind making a few scarifies with specs and features, then the Zeki TBDG874B 8-inch tablet could be just what you are looking for.
The Zeki TBDG874B still comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. If you are in need of more battery life at any one time, then you can knock the CPU down to just 1GHz, which will have a significant effect on performance, but a small price to pay for more life from its battery.
Some of the other specs include am 8-inch Capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 768, 8GB of storage and Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1, which is not the best OS on offer.
Because this is such a budget tablet some consumers will not feel happy taking a risk until they know more, but we are afraid that the Zeki TBDG874B Android tablet lacks user reviews, which could put some people off, but would you be one of them?
