As we told you earlier on this week, iOS 7.0.4 is now live and kicking for those with supported devices. Usually we would talk about updates for iPhone or iPad, but this time we have something useful for those using the iPod Touch 5.
You may not know it, but Apple’s latest software is also available for the iPod Touch 5. It may be a minor update, but it’s great to see that Apple are still willing to keep their latest iPod Touch updated so that users don’t feel left out.
With this in mind, we have provided an quick iOS 7.0.4 review on the iPod Touch 5 for you to watch below. The update size will vary, but we have seen it ranging from around 37MB all the way up to 50MB – check your device now to see how much space you’ll need to reserve.
You’ll see in the video that despite the aging hardware, the latest version of iOS 7.0.4 still runs very snappy indeed on the iPod Touch 5. The change that Apple issued in their patch notes was an improvement when using Facetime calls, so we’re guessing this will apply to the iPod Touch 5 as well.
This is just a quick heads-up, but one which we’re sure iPod Touch 5 owners out there will appreciate. If you are using one, let us know if you have spotted any problems with iOS 7.0.4 that we should know about.
