Amid all of the buzz surrounding next-gen consoles, we have some good news for those who are still playing State of Decay regularly. Those of you with the game on PC or Xbox 360 are going to be in for a treat, as the State of Decay Breakdown DLC has been given a solid release date and will be out at the end of the month.
You would have been forgiven for missing out on some State of Decay news in recent weeks, as all of the attention has naturally been on the upcoming launch of the PS4 and Xbox One. The PS4 is now available in the US of course, while Microsoft will licking their lips at the prospect of the Xbox One finally launching in many regions later this week.
Now though, we have a big update to share with you. Developers Undead Labs have confirmed that the State of Decay Breakdown DLC will be going live on November 29, which relates to both Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The price of the new content will cost you $6.99 which you will probably agree is a very reasonable price indeed.
New features are highlighted in the Breakdown trailer below, including confirmation that the expansion will include a new level of difficulty. Some players may have been disappointed about the game ‘being too easy’, but Undead Labs will be making zombie attacks more powerful, while there will also be a revamp to the way players utilize their stamina.
Undead Labs have also said that these changes are coming to the game, based on player request. So those of you who have been posting endlessly on the game’s forums and other social boards – keep it up as it looks like community input could be the key for the game’s longevity and ongoing process for a potential sequel.
Will you start playing State of Decay again once the Breakdown DLC is out on November 29? – what a great Thanksgiving treat.
