The Nexus 7 2013 model is only four months old but that hasn’t stopped the rumors for the 3rd generation model, which won’t be released until next year. However, before that there is the small matter of the Nexus 10 2 release date, which is now overdue. There had been a rumor that it would be available from November, but this was confirmed as a fake report.
The latest Nexus 7 3 rumors have come from ASUS, as its CEO Jerry Shen has said that the company is currently in talks with Google to produce the Nexus 7 for 2014. If this were to be the case, then it would be a huge deal for ASUS because it would mean they have made all three Nexus 7 models.
As with all news reports like this we have to take it with a grain of salt because it is not set in stone that ASUS will be part of the Nexus 7 third-generation. However, as they have done such a good job with the previous two versions it would be silly for Google to go with anyone else.
Sticking with ASUS, it looks as though they want to follow the trend of wearable devices, as the company is all set to reveal a smartwatch next year at Computex, which is to take place in June in Taipei.
They have not come out and said it will be a smartwatch, but what else would they mean by wearable devices? The likes of Samsung and Nike are doing well in the wearbale device market, and with Google and possibly Apple wanting in on the action, it was only a matter of time before the smartwatch becomes the next big thing like tablets have.
