iOS 7.0.4 update live, release notes

- Nov 14, 2013

The iOS 7.0.4 update has just gone live on iPad and iPhone with little shown in the release notes. We just installed the iOS 7.0.4 update on an Apple iPad mini and the download size was 16.2MB in the UK, but our iPhone 5 download for iOS 7.0.4 had an install size of 68.3MB.

You can see a screenshot below for the iOS 7.0.4 software release notes that reveal very little has changed, or at least what we are being shown here, and basically Apple only list one of the bug fixes that might have been a major problem for users.

Apple said there’s a number of “buy fixes and improvements” in the update notes, and then went on to state that this software includes a fix for FaceTime video calls that fail for some people. When we find out what the other bug fixes were, we will update this article although feel free to leave a comment if you notice any other changes in iOS 7.0.4.

Have you noticed any problems after installing the iOS 7.0.4 update? If you come across any issues after the new software is downloaded and installed, then leave a comment detailing them below, also let us know if your FaceTime call performance is a lot better after this update.

If you see connect to iTunes on your iDevice the software update has failed and your iDevice is in DFU mode.
To leave DFU mode you must restore you iPhone using iTunes and connecting to your mac using 30 pin/lightining connecter.

Tried updating to IOS 7.0.4 on iPad 2 and while it downloads and apparently installs it really does not as the information still shows 7.0.3 and the update still shows up after I tried twice to install. No idea what the issue is?
