You’d be forgiven for thinking that we are just a website dedicated to gaming, tablets and other similar devices, as we seem to have forgotten about some of the more interesting products. It’s for this very reason why we thought you would be interested to know that Skullcandy has moved into the Bluetooth speaker business.

Skullcandy has decided to move out of its comport zone and we have to admire their claim that the new Bluetooth speaker is better than the likes of the Jambox and Beats Pill.

While there are no comparison reviews of these devices as yet, we do expect the Air Raid to do rather will in tests thanks to its ruggedized design and twin 50mm drivers. However, it’s the 14-hour Skullcandy Air Raid battery life that impresses us the most.

Having a speaker that is built to take punishment and sound loud while listing to music comes as no surprise, as Skullcandy is right up there with the best of them.

However, the Skullcandy Air Raid price is a bit of a concern because it costs $150 from the US website. However, with claims that this model is 200 percent louder than the Jambox and 33 percent noisier than the Beats Pill, is it really too much to pay?

The Bluetooth speaker is not yet available in the UK and other countries outside the US.
