The tablet market is not all about the iPad Air, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 or other top selling Android tablets, as there is also a market for the children, and Polaroid and Fuhu have something new to offer. Both have new tablets for kids on the market, they are the Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 and the Nabi 2, and no doubt this time of the year will see a price disparity as they try to outdo each other.
You will no doubt have various questions in regard to these two tablets, with some of the more obvious being their specs, features and price. We are sure there will not be a huge difference in the price, but then again we all know how competitive some retailers will be as we move closer to the holiday season.
Let us look at the specs of these two Android tablets for kids just to see how well they compare against each other.
The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 comes with a 7-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution and a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, compared to the Nabi 2 with its same screen size and resolution, but a 1.3Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 CPU instead.
Both have 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage and a MicroSD to expand the storage. You also get front and rear facing cameras on each, and run on Android 4.2, which is not the most up-to-date version, but it’s enough for what is needed.
As for the price, the Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 cost around $150 and the Nabi 2 about $180. However, we recently reported that the price of the Nabi 2 could fall as we get closer to Christmas, just how low is anyone guess.
