BioShock Infinite story DLC length explained

Updated on

Game completion times can vary from player to player and this is thanks to how different we all play a game, but as an average it is good to look at the length of a campaign mode or story DLC. When it comes to BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea it seems the episode 1 length for this story DLC has been criticized, and this is thanks to it being completed in around 2 hours.

Some people have been dying to get hands-on with this BioShock Infinite DLC, and now that the release date has arrived for Burial at Sea Episode 1 it seems some gamers will be disappointed with the length.

Quality over quantity, explains Ken Levine – In this interview with Levine, the length of the BioShock Infinite has been defended with a number of reasons why it has to be this way. One of those reasons focused on building quality DLC, and not reused low quality content.

Levine continued to explain that how other developers “take existing assets” and change them slightly within a new game, you know the annual releases, or in chargeable DLC. In BioShock Infinite this was not going to be the case, and Levine said BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea contains new assets and feels like a new game, so “almost everything feels fresh”.

Are you happy with a 2-hour length to the BioShock Infinite story DLC, or don’t you care if everything feels fresh and would rather reused content delivering a longer DLC?
