How are you getting on with your Battlefield 4 experience so far? It is coming up to a week since the release of the game and hopefully the well documented problems of trying to get into a server are over. Now, attention has shifted to the Battlefield 4 app release date which allows you to fully enjoy Commander mode on iOS devices like the iPad, but also Android as well.
As most of you would have found out by playing on PC and console, one member of your Battlefield 4 team will be able to play the role of Commander, offering a unique perspective of the Battlefield and gaining access to all sorts of birdseye intel.
You’ll be able to communicate back with your squad with tactics based on what you see on Commander mode, while you’ll also be able to call in airstrikes on certain points in the map which you think the enemy is heading towards.
It’s definitely one of the most exciting features of the game, but users are dying to see how Commander mode will play out on an iPad or Android tablet. DICE has promised that the same functionality will be available on mobile devices, even allowing Commanders to jump into console or PC servers.
According to some recent rumors on Reddit, the Battlefield 4 Commander app release date is thought to be November 19. However, if you actually take a look through that thread, you’ll see one of DICE’s producers offer a statement stating that the November 19 date was actually for a new version of Battlelog for Battlefield 4 – not the Commander app.
Officially, DICE hasn’t set a release date, but it’s worth keeping a tab on November 19 to see if it does turn out to be the release date for the Commander app as well.
Are you waiting to use this app on your iPad or Android tablet?
