How are you getting on with the official BBM app for iOS and Android? While some users are happily enjoying the fruits that BBM has to offer, it’s a sad state of affairs for many other consumers, who are stuck in BlackBerry’s waiting list for authorization.
As you can imagine, there is a great deal of interest in the app, which has prompted BlackBerry to introduce a waiting list system in order to reduce server traffic and prevent the app from crashing altogether and bringing everyone’s fun to an end.
Unfortunately though, it appears that the wait has become a very tedious one, with many users facing a wait of up to 24 hours before they finally are sent a code to their email address with a PIN code needed to start using the app.
Worse yet, we’ve heard from some users that their app had crashed during the queue process, leading them to lose their position in the queue and face a fresh 24 hour wait for a PIN code.
Luckily, it does appear that there is a workaround which some users have said works for them. Whether you are using BBM on iOS or Android, you can open the app and then force close the app when in line. Upon relaunching the app, some users have been able to skip straight past the queue and then on to the create an account stage where you’ll receive a PIN to start using the app.
Try it for yourself and see if it works for you – we can’t promise anything, but it’s worth a shot. How long have you been waiting in BlackBerry’s queue of death to use BBM?
If you want to get your BBM without getting on the queue, enter the email address of a friend who has already activated theirs.

Update: Another potential solution added above. Good luck. Let’s hope that BlackBerry plans to add BBM iPod Touch support soon.
