There is a rumor doing the rounds that could see Uncharted 4 announced before Christmas for the PlayStation 4. We have no doubt in our mind that a new game from the franchise will be well received, but we have to wonder if this is more a case of wishful thinking rather than fact?
We already looked at how popular Uncharted 4 on PS4 would be when compared to The Last of US 2, and the fact that Naughty Dog has pretty much ruled out a sequel to the new IP. However, there are still doubts over UC4, as the game developer could stick with tradition and deliver an all-new IP for the next-gen console?
A recent article has been looking into the evidence that keeps appearing in regard to the Uncharted 4 release, but we have to wonder if we are looking so hard that we are seeing what we want to believe?
However, there has been some evidence to suggest that Uncharted 4 development is well underway and an announcement could be made during the Spike Video Game Awards (VGA) 2013.
Let us say for arguments sake that there is some truth to this report, then we wonder if we will get to see an Uncharted 4 trailer during the VGA in December?
What would the title of the next installment be, as Uncharted 4: Eye of Atlantis seems to be gaining traction? Then there are many other questions that need to be answered, such as location, story and main characters.
It will be great to see what Naughty Dog can do with the PS4, but would you rather them show us what they can achieve with a new Uncharted game or a new IP?
