The GTA iFruit for Android petition was at just over 2,500 3 days ago, and has gone up by 500 in a couple of days, so it will hit its target of 5,000 by the weekend. With the goal set to be achieved very soon, it shows just how annoyed Android tablet and smartphone users are by the lack of support from Rockstar. The current figure stands at 4,531 signatures.

We can clearly see that GTA V players with Android devices are getting desperate now, why else would they sign an online petition? Having said that, we would have assumed this goal would have been reached a while ago.

Some of our readers have already responded to the lack of support from Rockstar, with one reader saying this is more like a move that EA would pull. The developer should have made the app available to Android or iOS users, and if they knew they were going to delay the former they should have shared this information from the start.

Another interesting comment said that GTA V should not have been released until both apps were ready, as it is a major part of the game for some players. It does make you wonder why Rockstar is having so much hassle coding for the Android iFruit app, especially as the platform is said to be easier to develop apps for.

This has led some of our readers to ask for some compensation from Rockstar for Android and Windows Phone users, but that is not going to happen. And as for the petition, no amount of signatures will make them code the app any quicker.
