We have some important news for PC and Mac gamers now, especially those who consider themselves to be something of a Sims addict. We all know that The Sims 4 is on the way early next year, but now we have some disappointing news to inform you about.
The Sims 4 release date on PC and Mac has been delayed. It was originally announced as a game coming out in March 2014, but now EA has confirmed that the game will instead be coming out during Fall 2014 – a delay of over half a year.
It is obviously disappointing to say the least for those who are a big fan of the series, but an inevitable one if the game is simply not going to be ready. After the launch crisis involving Sim City, EA definitely does not want another PR disaster on their hands, so it’s good to sit back and wait until the game is finally ready.
We have just seen Ubisoft delay a massive game with Watch Dogs, so it appears to be standard industry practice these days. Pre-ordering is still available via this site, but will you perhaps now wait until Summer 2014 to see if there are any price incentives on offer?
Fall 2014 is obviously a long time to now wait for the game, so let us know your reaction to this. Will you honor your existing pre-order, or do you intend to cancel and look for another game instead?
We wonder if this delay may be linked to an outside chance that The Sims 4 could come to the PS4 and Xbox One – just something for you to think about.
