Panasonic might be wrapping up its Plasma TV division, but the company seems to be on a mission when it comes to new digital camera releases. We’ve already seen a handful of these, such as the GF6 and GX7, so now it is time to take a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1.
This is the new Micro Four Thirds compact mirrorless camera complete with interchangeable lenses. With it being pretty new to the market it was obvious that Blunty was going to offer a hands-on video. The video is an unboxing of the device, as well as a size comparison against other similar cameras, such as the PEN E-P3, Pentax MX-1 and even the Sony RX100.
However, it would not be a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1 size comparison if the Pentax Q was not thrown into the mix, which as we know is the worlds smallest interchangeable lens camera.
Blunty is to offer a full Panasonic Lumix GM1 review soon, but wanted to get this unboxing out of the way first. He knows that some people are not fans of these sorts of videos, but it does give his fans the opportunity to ask questions that he will be able to look at and answer once he does his review.
The model is a production sample for review purposes, so there will be minor changes to the design and firmware once the release version becomes available.
