iPad mini 2, iPad 5 total specs bewilderment

By Updated on

This year the expected Apple iPad mini 2 and iPad 5 specs couldn’t be more confusing with some big named technology blogs offering conflicting rumors. It becomes even more complicated when these well-known websites claim to have inside information, so who are you to believe with last minute predictions for iPad mini 2 and iPad 5 specs?

We have been hearing about a Touch ID on the iPad 5 at least for weeks and even the possibility of seeing this specification on Apple’s iPad mini 2, but it seems like this might not be the case if we are to believe Mac Rumors. In their article they claim there will be a Retina iPad mini 2 and thinner iPad 5, although the rumored gold option and fingerprint senor will be missing from the 2013 launch.

These claims totally contradict a recent article on well-known BGR, which stated Apple wouldn’t launch a Retina iPad mini 2 at the October 22 event. This prediction originated from Brian White, an analyst for Cantor Fitzgerald, although we have seen a few incorrect reports from this analyst before.

It should be noted that another report on AllThingsD backed the iPad mini 2 release with Retina, so with that in-mind along with Mac Rumors we are inclined to believe that you will see a Retina second-generation iPad mini launch next week.

Would you prefer an iPad mini 2 with Touch ID and gold option, or the Retina specification? It seems like we are going to get one or the other after looking at the rumors, although it would be nice to see iPad mini 2 specs include a fingerprint senor and Retina display but then the price would surly increase.

The conflicting rumors certainly confuse most people and we only have a few days left to find out exactly what is coming, but for now leave your wish list for iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 specs in the comments. You can see a recent rumor roundup in an earlier article.
