If you thought you were going to need a master ball to capture either legendary Yveltal or Xerneas in Pokemon X and Y, we’re here to tell you that this doesn’t appear to be the case. We’re getting reports from players that both elusive Pokemon are actually quite easy to obtain and won’t stress you out endlessly compared to catching legendary Pokemon in previous games.
Prior to the launch of Pokemon X and Y, Yveltal and Xerneas were talked about like the holy grail and excited fans were worried that both Pokemon would be extremely hard to catch. However, it doesn’t appear to be the case, whether you are after Yveltal from Pokemon Y or Xerneas from Pokemon X.
We have videos to show you now, giving you an example just how easy it was to catch both Pokemon. First we see Yveltal caught with just an ultra ball, but with Yveltal on a full health bar which is quite ridiculous.
We then see Xerneas put up more of a fight against a Venusaur, but again Xerneas is caught without any difficulty and with an ultra ball. Is the capture of both legendary Pokemon a little disappointing in your opinion, especially given the epic cutscenes of both creatures before the actual battle?
When Yveltal came out of that shell it almost reminded us of a big boss fight against Bahamut from Final Fantasy VIII. The battle lasted mere seconds though and we thought Yveltal was tougher than that.
Let us know if you have caught both legendaries yet. Do you agree that they were too easy to catch, or are you actually happy with the surprisingly simple battle?
