Sony A7r, A7 compact mirrorless full-frame cameras

By Updated on

When you mention Sony to somebody at the moment all they can think about is the PS4, but the company as a whole has far more to offer consumers; cameras being one of them. Sony is not considered one of the bigger players in the camera market, but they certainly have the products to prove otherwise.

Sony bought its way into the camera market in 2006 with the acquisition of Konica Minolta’s camera technologies and has not looked back since. Fast-forward seven years and we now see how Sony is making huge leaps with camera technology, and two of its latest models proves just that.

The a7 camera is a Sony mirrorless full-frame camera and the a7R is the smallest and lightest compact mirrorless full-frame interchangeable lens camera in the world.

Both cameras feature some of the best technology available in digital photography, but we have to wonder how they have managed to squeeze it all into a small form-factor.

The Sony a7r and a7 has a list of new features that would astound you, which you can read for yourself on the official Sony a7r and Sony a7 pages. However, we also have a video release to tease both these new cameras.

One of the best features that we need to point out is the new BIONZ X processor, which allows for processing speeds three times faster than before, making these cameras perfect for photographers looking for that professional shot. However, the processor comes into its own when shooting Full HD videos.

There is a list of new Sony α7/α7R accessories as well, all of which can be seen in that video below.
