Whenever Apple plan to unveil new iOS devices, third-party accessory makers always keep a close eye on things, as they need to be ready at a moments notice to put their new products into production. We saw this happen with the iPhone 5C, and we will also see it with the iPad mini 2, which we have already seen, and now the iPad 5.
The new iPad 5 dimensions are expected to be slightly different because of a thinner bezel, and as such this would require a change of many accessories. This would mean iPad 5 release preparation is already in action with new accessories, and an article on Apple Insider proves just that.
It is reported that a new iPad 5 Smart Cover is about to be introduced, which we should see at the Apple event on October 22, 2013. The cover will need to be slightly narrower than the current one, which is not going to go down well with current iPad owners, as they already had to change a number of their accessories last year because of the move to the Lighting connector.
We have already seen a multitude of iPad 5 cases appear on the Internet over the past few months, but it will not be long before more iPad 5 accessories begin to appear once Apple announce the new version of the tablet next Tuesday.
iPad 5 colors – The color options for the iPad is limited, but we expect to see three color choices from the start, gold, space gray and silver. However, we have to wonder if Apple would also consider going down the option of offering some more funky hues, or would they just leave that to the Smart Covers?
