Yesterday we were treated to a new trailer for Galactic Civilizations 3 and Angry Birds Go, so we thought we’d featured both in one article for our readers to watch. They do not run for long, but we are treated to more than enough to help build up our excitement level for each game.
First up we have the Galactic Civilizations 3 announcement trailer, which runs for 1 minute and 38 seconds. What makes this version of the game so special is how it will be in 64-bit when it comes to the PC, and this CG debut helps demonstrate just that. The developers say this will be a new direction for the franchise, and with it comes a host of new features.
The technology involved will mean that the Galactic Civilizations 3 graphics will offer far more detail than previous versions of the game, along with increased map sizes and an open invitation for modders. More details can be found on the Polygon website.
In the second video we get to see some Angry Birds Go gameplay footage. While it’s good to see the franchise branch off (excuse the pun) into other areas, we feel as though a kart racer has been done to death. We have seen other game franchises do this, so we thought Rovio was a little different.
Having said that, they have some unique twists that will help Angry Birds Go stand out against other kart racers. What we especially like are the special powers, as you get to wreak havoc on other players. For more details visit the Rovio website.
