The moment has arrived for all basketball fans. NBA 2K14 is coming soon to next-gen consoles and as a result, we recently saw a image of Lebron James captured for the first time on PS4 hardware. Now, we can bring you a comparison, showing the Miami Heat star’s model on NBA 2K14 PS4 vs PS3 just to show you the huge differences in quality.
There really is a massive difference as well. You are going to be amazed with the depth of quality that Visual Concepts has managed to produce for the next-gen version of the game, which is due out as a launch title on both the Xbox One and PS4.
Let’s get straight to it though. The image you see above is the first look at how Lebron James’ character model will look like on the PS4. The image was officially shared from the NBA 2K Facebook page and you can check out a high-resolution copy of the image here.
Now, below we can give you an idea of how the next-gen version of Lebron looks like, when compared to how ‘King James‘ will look like on current-gen hardware. The difference is fairly obvious and speaks for itself – note that Lebron is actually holding the basketball on next-gen compared to current-gen where it is magically floating in thin air.
The facial differences are pretty amazing too. 2K and the developers have done a fantastic job getting such a realistic looking James on next-gen, it almost looks hyper-realistic like this wonderful computer-generated imagining of a certain Morgan Freeman.
If this is the level of quality that we can expect to see on most player models on the PS4 version of NBA 2K14, then consider us very excited indeed. Take a good look at the PS4 Vs PS3 shot here and then let us know your thoughts on the quality.
Are you impressed by this?
