PS4 excitement with interactive retail units

How excited are you about the upcoming launch of the PS4 on November 15? While we still have over a month to go until the glorious date approaches, it appears that retail stores across the world are now starting to make early preparations for the incoming barrage during the 2013 Holiday season.

We can tell you that some retailers have already started to set up their PS4 retail space and we have evidence of this thanks to an early image that has been released officially.

Sony’s German PlayStation arm has given fans a delightful teaser of the goodness that is about to hit, by revealing the official PS4 retail space that is likely to be present whenever you walk inside a Sony retail store, or indeed any other electronics chain if Sony plans to keep the theme universal.

What you see here is a fully-equipped portable PS4 pod, allowing interested consumers the chance to play a selection of titles there and then in the store using the supplied two Dual Shock 4 controllers. Even better is that it looks like users may be given the freedom to actively browse the PS4 interface themselves and select what game they want to play – rather than having a set game on all the time.

Judging by the game design below the pod, it looks like Sony may offer a healthy selection of games to try out as well – such as Killzone Shadow Fall, inFamous Second Son, Drive Club, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, FIFA 14 and Watch Dogs.
