It is almost a month late, but we’re pleased to say that Rockstar is finally starting to give Android users the same treatment as iOS. The GTA V app Manual has now been released on Android, but unfortunately there is still no sign of the GTA V iFruit Android release date which users obviously crave more.
With the iOS Vs Android wars as fierce as ever, Rockstar’s delay has now forced this mobile platform superiority debate to spill over into the gaming industry as well. Gamers are very unhappy that those with an iOS device have had the opportunity to train up Chop the Dog, while Android users have been left to sit and wait with hardly any information from Rockstar.
Now, we have confirmation that the other companion app is available on Android – the GTA V Manual. However, it is unlikely to make moods change, as the big request is for the iFruit Android release date so Android users can train up Chop and enter GTA V on a level playing field.
Unfortunately, we can’t give you an estimation on when iFruit will be released on Android, so it really is just a case of waiting even further and hope that Rockstar has some good news to provide over the weekend. What we would say though, is that there’s every chance that iFruit could come sooner rather than later, now that they have managed to get the Manual app onto the Google Play store.
The massive 181MB Manual can be downloaded for free whenever you feel like it. It provides great reading material for GTA V when not at home, including a fantastic interactive map letting you explore a particular location in finer detail.
We are hearing conspiracy theories on how ‘Apple has paid’ Rockstar to release iFruit on iOS first and make Android users wait. Do you think there is any truth to these claims or not?
