If you are a big Mario Kart fan and are looking forward to the release of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U next year, we have an unmissable video for you to watch. The game was in playable format at the recent Eurogamer Expo and for all those that didn’t attend, we have some fantastic gameplay for you to check out, complete with professional commentary that we think you’ll love.
There have been previous requests for Nintendo to explore a more competitive side to Mario Kart, by possibly even including an e-sports element directly into the game for those that like to take their Mario Kart sessions a lot more seriously than others.
While some of you may think this is over the top for a family-based game, just wait and see until you check out this video which gives an idea of what professional matches on Mario Kart 8 could be like when having commentary alongside it.
This commentary comes from Alan Boiston, who is actually a known figure inside the racing community and a big F1 / Mario Kart fan in general. He was in attendance at Eurogamer last month to commentate on some races and we have to say that he has done an amazing job in adding some professional elements to the game.
Nintendo really needs to check this out in our opinion and give it some careful consideration. If they want to attract new consumers to their system, featuring a competitive element in Mario Kart 8 may just be the way to handle it.
Watch the enjoyable clip above and let us know what you think about having some e-sports features in Mario Kart 8. Do you honestly think that the commentary adds to the game or not – would you like Nintendo to include this as an online feature in Mario Kart 8? We know a lot of gamers who would love to see this happen.
