We have been hearing rumors about the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date potentially happening in October, but now it looks like we have the most conclusive piece of evidence seen yet. We now have a solid date for when Apple will likely hold an event to announce the elusive products.
The iPad Mini has been a big success. There had been a lot of skeptics prior to and just after launch, but Apple appears to have answered them in style with big sales for the bite size tablet. With that in mind, popularity and hype for the iPad Mini 2 has gone through the roof in recent weeks, perhaps even surpassing that of the iPad 5 which is also thought to be coming this year.
Now, we’re pleased to say that it looks like all of the rumors were legitimate. All Things Digital has now published a report this week, claiming that their sources have informed them of an Apple event to take place on Tuesday October 22 – not October 15 as previously rumored.
Furthermore, they have also been told that the main highlight of the event, will be focused on introducing new entries to the company’s iPad line, making it highly likely that we will finally see Tim Cook confirm the availability of an iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 later this month.
Critics have said that there is less demand for Apple iPad products than previous years, but you just know that Apple will find a way to make their iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 the hottest products during the 2013 Holiday season.
Let’s hope that stock is healthy and that we’ll see a release date in an extended amount of countries. As we wait for more details, give us your thoughts on the two products now that it looks set to happen on October 22.
