If you haven’t bought a PS Vita yet but are definitely interested with the upcoming remote play streaming features with PS4, the next couple of months is obviously going to be the perfect time to consider one. Although it would be considered logical on Sony’s part, the company however has yet to offer an official PS4 bundle that includes a PS Vita handheld as well.
We have seen that a lot of you would be willing to buy one should it become available and it is a little bit strange that Sony hasn’t gone public on plans to offer this to consumers.
It means that individual retailers are your best bet for picking up a PS4 and PS Vita bundle together, but you could be charged over the odds prices to pick up everything together.
What’s interesting to note is that Sony were reluctant on talking about this possibility during GamesCom. However, the situation appears to have changed somewhat for the better, as Sony’s UK chief Fergal Gara has been speaking at the recent Eurogamer Expo, basically saying it isn’t completely out of the question for the future.
Here is a great quote to pick out for you:
“Right now, as I sit here today, we’re not producing a box that fits a PS4 and PS Vita in that one box. We we could probably change our mind in the morning and still have it ready for launch to be honest so it’s not a big decision. It’s not a hard thing to do”.
While the statement above is certainly encouraging, Sony has yet to give the green light officially. With the console set to retail at $399, it would be interesting to see what adding a PS Vita into the mix would do to the final cost.
Put it this way: Would you buy a PS Vita, PS4 bundle with extra controller for $499-549?
