The popularity of Plants vs. Zombies 2 still seems to be pretty high, which is no doubt causing a few Android users to become even angrier, as they are still waiting to see the sequel arrive on their platform. Having already seen the app arrive in China, we still wait to see its worldwide release.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 worldwide Android launch is imminent because the game has recently launched in Australia and New Zealand. PopCap, the developer of this popular app has said the worldwide release will happen shortly.
Thankfully, it will be easier to download the Plants vs. Zombies 2 on Android in other countries compared to China, as users will be able to download from the Google Play Store, whereas in China you have to use APK, which you have to be cautious of.
Some Android users outside of China already made used of APK so they could see what all the fuss was about with the Plants vs. Zombies sequel, and many of them found it to be a great game, although much better playing on a larger device.
Back in August Plants vs. Zombies 2 was the most downloaded game on the iOS App Store, with more than 25 million downloads. Just imagine how large that number will be once the game is made available on the Android platform?
It does seem strange why PopCap has waited so long, although there were rumors that Apple paid for the privilege of having exclusivity of Plants vs. Zombies 2 for a few months. However, as you would expect both parties have denied the rumor.
